Engineered wood flooring is constructed using multiple layers of wood bonded together, with each layer positioned in opposite grain directions to provide superior strength and stability. This layered construction makes engineered hardwood suitable for installation in areas where traditional solid hardwood flooring may not perform well. Most engineered wood floors are manufactured with 3 to 5 layers, offering enhanced durability and improved resistance to moisture and temperature changes. The engineered construction allows the flooring to expand and contract more efficiently without warping, buckling, or cracking under changing environmental conditions. As a result, engineered hardwood flooring can be installed in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moderate moisture levels. In addition to being more cost-effective than solid hardwood, engineered flooring offers excellent performance and visual appeal. However, because only the top layer is real hardwood, it can typically be refinished only one or two times before reaching the underlying layers.
Laminate flooring is designed to beautifully replicate the look of natural flooring materials such as hardwood, stone, slate, and ceramic tile. Available in a wide range of colors, textures, and styles, laminate flooring is a versatile choice for any room in the home, including kitchens and bathrooms. Manufactured for durability and easy maintenance, it provides an attractive, long-lasting flooring solution that delivers excellent value and modern appeal. Cork flooring is one of nature’s most remarkable and eco-friendly materials. Often used as a subfloor for sound insulation, cork is naturally soft, flexible, and comfortable underfoot while remaining highly durable and resilient. Its unique cellular structure makes it resistant to moisture, rot, and fire, while also being lightweight and naturally insulating. Cork flooring offers a quiet, warm, and comfortable surface that is completely renewable and 100% biodegradable, making it an ideal flooring option for environmentally conscious homeowners.
